After putting out one of 2014’s best albums, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, Against Me! will finally against-me-transgender-2give us something new on September 4: 23 Live Sex Acts.

This live album, which – as the title gives away – features 23 songs, including Transgender Dysphoria Blues tracks like “Fuckmylife666,” “Black Me Out,” and “Unconditional Love,” as well as older Against Me! anthems like “New Wave,” “I Was a Teenage Anarchist,” “Turn Those Clapping Hands into Angry Balled Fists,” plus “Pints of Guinness Make You Strong.”

23 Live Sex Acts will be released through Against Me!’s own label, Total Treble Music. It can be pre-ordered today on iTunes.

“We seem to have a fan base that is fairly open-minded – more so than that a pop band, where people are less invested. People who generally listen to our band seem to have an open mind and are open to alternative views of anything,” explained Against Me! guitarist James Bowman when asked by Riffyou.com if he felt that some fans may find Transgender Dysphoria Blues’ subject matter too tough to handle. “So, at least we had that. But in general, people are going to think what they want to think.

He continued: “There was definitely nothing in there that made me feel uncomfortable and nothing in it struck me as ‘oh shit!’ It’s cool content – it takes courage and heart to talk about things that aren’t a mainstream opinion. I’ve always loved that [about Laura Jane Grace].”
