Even though it’s tragic that Metallica won’t headline the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on Sunday, the metal icons will be headlining CBS Radio’s ‘The Night Before’ concert at San Fancisco’s AT&T Park – a Super Bowl-connected event.

What will make this hometown show for Metallica and their fans even more special, is that the concert will be live-streamed, for free, in 1080p Full-HD. Fans will be able to watch this at webcast.livemetallica.com, beginning at 8:30pm PT/11:30pm ET.

But the experience won’t end there, as Metallica will allow fans to then pre-order professionally mixed audio recordings that night, as a download. Collectible CDs will also become available.

“We can’t wait to play our first show of 2016 and there’s nowhere we’d rather kick off the festivities than in our own backyard,” said Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. “Even though the show has been sold out for months, Metallica fans around the world will be able to join in on the madness.”
