Tom DeLonge Releasing Blink-182 Demos March 1?

The weirdness surrounding the Blink-182 divorce from Tom DeLonge continues down a strange path, as Tom-Solo-Blink-182a tweet from the band’s former guitarist and vocalist suggests that he’ll be releasing songs previously meant for his former band.

DeLonge’s tweet, which has since been deleted, read “March 1 – I will be launching personal recordings of new blink demos along with a few extra tracks on TomDeLonge.me.”

At the beginning of February, DeLonge confirmed through his Facebook page that he’d usher out new music on the aforementioned date. It was at that time he published snippets of a pair of tracks on Instagram.

“…I have a lot of music I was working hard on…Things happen, so I guess we have a change of plans… Either way, I think you guys should hear it,” stated DeLonge at the time.”

Since quitting (or getting the boot from Blink-182, depending on who you believe), DeLonge has been involved in an ugly, public back and forth with remaining Blink-182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, and made headlines earlier this week when he detailed his recent alien encounter.

It sure seems strange that DeLonge wants to release Blink-182 songs, before Blink-182 does. Perhaps the public pissing match is still much more alive than we need it to be.
