Watch the Spacey “Sound & Color” Video by Alabama Shakes
Alabama Shakes have released an intergalactic video for “Sound & Color,” a standout track from the album of the same name. In the video, a man wakes up within a moving space vessel, very confused and concerned about his whereabouts.
As he navigates through the ship, the man has flashbacks about his family life back on earth, looks confused by the powdered food on board, before trying to get comfortable in the captain’s chair.
In addition to the video’s premiere, this week has been a big one for Alabama Shakes as its Sound & Color album debuted at #1 in Canada and the US.
“Our main focus was to show ourselves that we could do whatever we wanted,” said Alabama Shakes bassist Zac Cockrell of the album in an interview with Riffyou.com. “Okay, there are limits, because we’re not exactly top-notch musicians or anything {laughs} but if we find something that’s interesting, we can make it happen…and teach ourselves.”
