Cheerleaders & Blindfolds Aplenty in Kings of Leon Video for “Waste A Moment” – Watch!

People can keep slagging Kings of Leon all they want, but this Tennessean family band is a damn good one even if you can’t handle the transition from the “Molly’s Chambers” era to the one that began with “Sex on Fire.”

We loved 2013’s Mechanical Bull and are thus far super encouraged by the band’s forthcoming album, Walls (available October 14). Today, Kings of Leon released an official video for Walls’ first single, “Waste A Moment,” providing us with our mysterious cheerleader, knife fight, band member blindfolding and criminal activity fix for the day. Even though we don’t know exactly what’s going on here, we like it!

What’s more, Kings of Leon showcased another new song, “Around the World,” on last night’s Jools Holland. And yes, this one has that southern, deep fried cooking feel that many of connect to earlier albums.

We don’t need Walls to capture the best of both worlds of Kings of Leon, but we won’t be disappointed if that’s how things shake down.
