The hope of the original Guns N’ Roses lineup reuniting after so much time apart has reached a fever pitch thanks to speculation and opinions of those outside the band.

Over the weekend, ex-Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland figured a reunion was forthcoming and now Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx has offered a substantial opinion on the matter.

When asked on Twitter if he thought “guns n roses should do a reunion tour?” Sixx responded, “THEY ARE. EVERYBODY KNOWS.”

Apart from being a well-connected rocker, Sixx shares a band (Sixx: A.M.) with guitarist DJ Ashba, who earlier this year ended his lengthy tenure as a member of Guns N’ Roses.

As for what will happen with Mötley Crüe after its final show on December 31, 2015, Sixx told Riffyou.com that he will never play a note of the band’s music ever again.

“A lot of times, I see people try and do ‘the next thing’ and it’s just kind of the same as the other. [If that were me] I’d think, ‘Well, why not just do Mötley Crüe?’ But why would I do another version of Mötley Crüe? Sixx: A.M. is completely different musically, spiritually, emotionally, visually…and that gives me pride,” offered Sixx. “The people who are coming to see us, are coming to see Sixx: A.M. We don’t play Mötley Crüe music and we never will play Mötley Crüe music. The day Mötley Crüe plays its last show, I will never play another Mötley Crüe song again…even if it’s one I wrote. To be respectful to Mötley Crüe is the biggest gift I can give to fans.”
