Motion City Soundtrack Releasing “I Am The Movie” Documentary

Minneapolis rockers Motion City Soundtrack are poised to release the video documentary I Am The Movie: The Movie on May 13 motion-city-soundtrack_1-smallthrough Epitaph Records. The doc will feature video footage and photographs of the band from the early 2000s, when they recorded and released their debut album I Am The Movie – once independently, then once again after signing to Epitaph.

Edited by Melissa Kraemer, I Am The Movie: The Movie will come in a limited edition DVD format complete with the original floppy disk packaging that the album was initially released with. Fans will also be able to snap up digital copies of it through Amazon and iTunes.

To celebrate the occasion, Motion City Soundtrack will acoustically perform this album in its entirety for the first time ever at the McNally-Smith Auditorium on the campus of McNally-Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN, on the day of the documentary’s release.

Motion City Soundtrack’s most recent album, Go, was released in 2012.
