Nickelback Cancels Tour Due to Kroeger’s Vocal Issues

Due to issues with Chad Kroeger’s voice box, Nickelback has been forced to cancel its lengthy North nickelbackAmerican summer tour.

What sets this voice box issue apart from the one that has annoyed millions of music fans for over a decade now, is that we actually have a medical problem here. Turns out, an operable cyst has been found on Kroeger’s voice box, thus forcing the singer to go under the knife.

In a statement, it’s explained that Kroeger will have surgery in three weeks time, after he undergoes a period of vocal rest.

“I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans,” explained Kroeger. “I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.”

Of course, ticket refunds are now available from point of purchase.

Nickelback expects to be back on the road for a European tour that begins on September 30 in Finland. A return to North America is expected in 2016.

Take your time fellas, no need to rush…really, please, no rush.
