Some bands get ripped for certain corporate partnerships, while other bands manage to find said partnerships designed to get you  sam-roberts-band-2014-smallripped. In this case, we have multiple JUNO Award winners Sam Roberts Band (SRB) joining forces with Spearhead Brewing Company for the release of Sam Roberts Band Session Ale.

The drink, which is said to have “a unique blend of English and American ale characteristics, featuring distinct notes of caramel, subtle undertones of biscuit and a dry, zesty finish that is deliciously refreshing,” will be available at select “public houses and watering holes” throughout Ontario as of June 14.

“Along with our partners, Spearhead Brewing Company, we are proud to bring you our new SRB Session Ale – combining Spearhead’s mastery of the brewing process with our own profound expertise in the field of beer drinking,” said Roberts. “A Session ought to fix what Ale’s you!”

“We are excited to partner with Sam Roberts Band to brew this delicious session ale,” added Spearhead’s President & Founder Dimitri van Kampen. “It’s great to collaborate with talented Canadian artists on a project that sees two art forms—music and craft beer—integrated so perfectly. Session Ale tastes best served cool while listening to Sam and the boys rock it out. Cheers!”

Sam Roberts Band released their latest album, Lo-Fantasy, this past February. Thus far, the tracks “We’re All In This Together” and “Human Heat” have been making the radio rounds.

This summer, the guys will also headline the Saturday night of the rather impressive Toronto Urban Roots Fest (TURF).
