The Sheepdogs Book Big Canadian Tour for 2016
Saskatchewan rockers The Sheepdogs will keep Canadians warm during the dastardly early winter months of 2016, thanks to the booking of a lengthy cross-country tour.
Gigging in support of 2015’s Future Nostalgia, The Sheepdogs will begin its run of Canadian dates on January 29 in Montreal, before taking a final bow on March 12 in Peterborough, Ontario.
Before 2015 comes to a close, however, The Sheepdogs will take part in the Canadian Football League’s Grey Cup Festival Series on November 27 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“There is no one way to make an album,” said The Sheepdogs’ Ewan Currie during an interview last month with Riffyou.com. “The practical side of it is understanding what we could do differently the next time. As well as what worked and what we’d do the same. By living [in the recording space] and having the album be our complete focus maybe made us too immersed in it, but it was fun. I am really proud with what we did in Stony Lake. As a musician, you try to make music that sounds like your heroes, you fail and wherever you land is how you sound. So, does the album sound exactly like it [initially] did in my head? No, but it sounds like we got pretty close and I can live with it, because that’s inevitably how we sound.”
