Blink182TheLonelyAstronautTom DeLongeInstead of opting for a lame Christmas album, Blink-182 and Angels And Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge will be releasing a children’s book just in time for the holidays.

The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve, which is written by DeLonge and illustrated by Mike Henry, will be available to pre-order beginning November 25.

In a media release, the project is described as a “wistful story for the young and the young-at-heart alike,” and tells the “tale of a rocketeer alone on the moon on a cold Christmas night, and the gift he receives from a few unexpected (and extraterrestrial) friends.”

Premium members of the Angels And Airwaves Website can check out a three-page preview of the book. Here, a person can also pre-order a limited edition package that comes with the hardback book; a digital edition of it; a certificate signed by DeLonge; an ornament; as well as a t-shirt. These special packages will set you back $50, and only 1,000 will be made available.
