Listen to New Metric Single “The Shade”
Metric is finally following up its mighty 2012 album Synthetica, with a new album set to be available for pre-order beginning on June 2. While we don’t yet have an album title or official release date, we do have a lead single: “The Shade.”
“The Shade” was written and recorded at the Beastie Boys’ Oscilloscope Studios in New York City and at the band’s own Giant Studios in Toronto. As one has come to expect from Metric, the song has a heavy synth presence, an undeniable hook, along with attractive vocal work from frontwoman Emily Haines.
