Moist Releasing “Glory Under Dangerous Skies” in October

Canadian rock outfit, Moist, will release their first album in 15 years, Glory Under Dangerous Skies, on October 7 moist2014-smallthrough Universal Music Canada.

“The new album and the shows we’ve played this summer have reminded us all of how much fun it is writing music and performing together,” says lead vocalist David Usher. “It feels very natural doing this with the band again and everything has just fallen into place. We’re really excited about the new music and the amazing reception we’ve had.”

Even with such a delay between records, Moist never ‘officially’ broke up. Many, Riffyou.com included, just assumed that was the case as David Usher spent many years embarking upon a solo career. During that era, however, it wouldn’t be strange to see him performing alongside various Moist members, but under his own name.

Glory Under Dangerous Skies was recorded in Toronto this past winter, and produced by Moist guitarist and JUNO-nominated producer, Mark Makoway. Thus far, the album’s lead single “Mechanical” has been making the radio station rounds this summer, while the forthcoming single, “Black Roses,” will debut in September.

To date, Moist has sold 1.3 million albums worldwide.
