Riff Clip: Mounties Joke About how “Headphones” Came to Be

Share

Backstage at Hillside Festival, Riffyou.com caught up with Mounties ahead of what wound up being a set that never happened. You see, as the band readied the stage, a massive storm rolling through the region resulted in a baseball-like rain delay, followed by an early shutdown of the festival. Needless to say, all involved were extremely disappointed.

Before the disappointment, Mounties – Steve Bays, Ryan Dahle, and Hawksley Workman – were in excellent spirits during our time together, still riding a very artistically-positive, friendship-driven wave. Their critically-acclaimed debut, Thrash Rock Legacy, is an absolute blast, and the guys are already getting songs together for a sophomore effort.

While we’ll be sharing a new full-length Mounties interview with you soon, right now you can watch a video of the trio humorously reflecting on how their mightily fun track “Headphones” came to be:
