Riff Clip: Speaking With Kids Music Legend, Fred Penner
When it comes to the children’s music landscape, there are few better at his craft than Canada’s Fred Penner. During his illustrious 40+-year career, Penner has released a dozen albums, hosted the crazily popular Fred Penner’s Place TV show (from 1987-1999), and even named to the Order of Canada.
This week, Penner received a JUNO Award nomination in the Children’s Album of the Year category for his latest offering, Where in the World.
Shortly after hearing his name called, Penner spent a few minutes on the red carpet with Riffyou.com to discuss success, his multi-generational impact, the science behind writing great children’s music, as well as which bands he enjoys listening to.
