Weezer & ZZ Top Jamming Together on Kimmel

It is unclear if Rivers Cuomo will be able to once again grow out an impressive beard by next Monday (February 2), but that won’t change the fact that Weezer will perform with ZZ Top on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Weezer confirmed this playing partnership on their official Facebook page today, along with a logo that meld their name and its branding with ZZ Top’s.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about this “1 time performance,” as further details haven’t been revealed.

The beautiful part about that, however, is that it allows us to speculate on what’s to come. Perhaps we’ll see a mash-up of Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” and ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man.” But really, our money is on “Hash Pipe” and “Legs” coming together at last. We don’t know how they’d do it, but they’re musicians, so they should be able to figure it out.
