Riff Redux: Discussing Shit & Headphones with Lemmy

Share

Before Riffyou.com launched, I had the opportunity to speak with a lot of influential and impactful figures within the music industry for other publications. In Riff Redux, I’m going to open up the archives to share some great discussions and perspectives from the past.

In 2013, Motörhead icon Lemmy Kilmister attended the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas to help launch Motörheadphones, stereo headphones designed to appease rock fans.

Very early into his appearance, you could tell that Lemmy wasn’t terribly interested in the whole spectacle, or speaking to anyone about the product in great depth. After watching a tech journalist get eaten alive in a one-on-one with Mr. Ace of Spades, I was granted roughly a moment of the rocker’s time for an on-the-fly Q&A.

Turns out, he didn’t know that much about the headphones he was pumping, nor care to dig into a deep discussion about them.

You can watch the video below for the hilarious results.
