Ryan Adams Releasing Carnegie Hall Vinyl Today

Ryan Adams has become known for surprisingly releasing 7” recordings through his Pax-Am Records Carnegie-Halllabel, but last night he announced something bigger: a limited edition vinyl box set of his November 2014 Carnegie Hall performances.

Adams, who made the announcement on Twitter, said that fans could order the box set beginning today at 10am PST. Purchase links were provided on his Twitter feed, but won’t be ‘live’ until the aforementioned time. The price remains a mystery, as does which songs (and how many!) will be featured.

However, a quick Google hunt will tell you that Adams brought the goods at these Carnegie Hall gigs, performing favourites like “Oh My Sweet Carolina,” “My Winding Wheel,” “Come Pick Me Up,” “Friends,” “New York, New York,” “If I am a Stranger,” “Sylvia Plath,” as well as the newer track, “Gimme Something Good.”

Late last year, we learned that when Adams isn’t busy playing shows or releasing vinyl at a rapid-fire pace, he’s creating comic books and their accompanying soundtracks.

UPDATE: The six-vinyl box set and t-shirt package costs $99.99 +shipping. Other options include just the six-vinyl box set ($89.99), as well as single vinyl, CD and digital offerings.
