Sam Roberts Band; Neutral Milk Hotel; Headlining TURF Event
The Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF) is returning to the city for a three-stage, 44 band event. The action, which will be held at Fort York’s Garrison Common, runs from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6. Sam Roberts Band and Neutral Milk Hotel will headline TURF, along with The Gaslight Anthem, Local Natives, Gogol Bordello, Violent Femmes, Gary Clark Jr., Steve Earle, and Jenny Lewis (of Rilo Kiley).
Local acts like The Strumbellas, Devin Cuddy Band, Born Ruffians, and Hollerado will also have spots on the bill. Further performers are still to be confirmed.
Three-day early-bird tickets for TURF will set you back $119.50, while early-bird VIP packages are priced at $199.50. The early-bird “master VIP” package will go for $299.50. These tickets go on sale Thursday, February 27, and additional service charges will apply. Meanwhile, single day tickets – if TURF doesn’t sell out before – will be up for grabs in April.
A pre-TURF party will occur on Wednesday, July 2, while post-TURF club shows will occur on Monday, July 7. Further details regarding these shows will be revealed in April.
