Scott Weiland Apologizes for Being an Asshole

Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts may be releasing their debut album, Blaster next week, but it may be weiland-smokea tough sell to those who were reportedly left with a sour taste in their mouths after at least one Weiland meet-and-greet went awry.

Last week on the Stone Temple Pilots BelowEmpty fan forum, numerous individuals claimed that Weiland was way less than personable following a recent gig at the Brighton Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.

Fans (or perhaps now former fans) complained that Weiland barely acknowledged their existence, apart from saying “Let’s suck a dick” and “Let’s get this shit done” during photo ops. Weiland also supposedly uttered, “Okay, hurry up, I don’t want to hear it,” when a fan begun to explain admiration for the musician’s work over the past two decades.

Now with these stories out there, Weiland has issued an apology via his official Facebook page. It reads:

“I would like to make a sincere apology to the fans that were at the meet and greet in Boston. I’m embarrassed by my behavior and some of the things that I said. Fans don’t deserve that. Without our fans and supporters, we would not be able to do what we’re doing. I put my all into the show that night and honestly was just beyond exhausted…either way, I acted like a total asshole and for that I’m truly sorry. – Scott.”
