Foster the People Taking to the Road in April

foster_the_people-1-smallIndie pop trio Foster the People have been gradually re-emerging of late as they gear up for the March 18 release of their sophomore release, Supermodel through Sony.

Just last week, the band released the album’s tracklisting, as well a promotional video for the single, “Coming of Age.” Today, they’ve revealed what’s likely just the first leg of their North American tour, which kicks off in April with a performance at Coachella. Canadian dates include May 13 at Toronto’s Massey Hall, as well as May 21 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver.

Ahead of all that, Foster the People will play a special free show in Los Angeles (venue TBA) on January 23.

Foster the People’s 2011 debut, Torches, proved to be a significant commercial success, even though “Pumped Up Kicks” did become as overplayed as “The Macarena.” All in all, the album ruled in school.
