The warmer weather is a great reminder that the summer music festival season is closing in. Ontario modern folk group, The Strumbellas, will be part of all that and hopefully play their amazing version of the Bryan Adams classic “Summer of ’69” as often as possible.

Today, The Strumbellas’ version of that track first appeared today as an exclusive to the Wall Street Journal, via Amazon Music – and we are thrilled to have it in our orbit.

Commented Strumbellas vocalist Simon Ward: “Bryan Adams is a legend around these parts, and it’s just an honor to play a song that he wrote.”

Last month, The Strumbellas released their third album, Hope, which features the radio behemoth of a single, “Spirits.” Ward chatted with us about that song a little ways back.

Anyways, enough of our jibba-jabba, here’s “Summer of ’69.”
