Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider seemingly does not want people to forget that Mötley Crüe vocalist, Vince Neil, was responsible for ending the life of one musician and seriously harming the lives of two other individuals back in 1984.

During an interview with Yahoo! Music, Snider touched on how he has viewed differently by music fans in the 1980s because he didn’t like to party. And, as a result, these people would turn to Mötley Crüe.

…And then this was said:

“[Mötley Crüe] singer Vince Neil could go and literally kill someone in a car accident,” offered Snider. “There were two other women who were in a van who were permanently crippled from that famous car accident that killed Razzle from Hanoi Rocks. And people are cool with that. They’re like, ‘Yeah, all right! Rock ‘n roll!!’ And the guy didn’t do any serious jail time. I’m, like, ‘Really? Really? He’s a murderer.’ I don’t get that at all.”

The incident Snider is referring to happened in December 1984 when Neil, who was legally declared drunk at the time, crashed his vehicle into someone else’s, resulting in the death of Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley from Hanoi Rocks. Those in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries.

Neil didn’t completely skate after the crash, but he also didn’t exactly have the book thrown at him either. In all, Neil received a 30-day jail sentence, five years probation and community service. He was also forced to pay $2.6 million in restitution.

As Snider proves, however, not all can be forgiven and forgotten.
