Watch PUP Get Animated in “Dark Days” Video
It’s been almost two years since Toronto rockers, PUP, released its face-shearing, Self-Titled debut album through Royal Mountain Records. Over that time, PUP has toured its ass off (250+ shows in 2014 alone), gradually building audiences in North America and abroad.
As PUP currently finds itself on the VANS Warped Tour, an animated video for the track “Dark Days” has surfaced. In it, the band – Stefan Babcock (vocals, guitar), Nestor Chumak (bass, vocals), Steve Sladkowski (guitar, vocals), and Zack Mykula (drums) – are documented surviving and thriving as the trials and tribulations of tour life happen.
The animation for “Dark Days” was created by Solis Animation, while the team of Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux and Chandler Levack directed the video.
During an interview last year with Riffyou.com, Babcock explained what PUP hopes to achieve with its next album: “It’s going to be heavier than the last one. What we’re trying to do is make it simultaneously weirder and more accessible…that seems rather opposite of each other, but I think it’s an interesting goal to approach the record with.”
