Watch Soundgarden Play “Birth Ritual” for First Time in 23 Years

Over the weekend at Australia’s Soundwave festival, Soundgarden dug deep into their archives and pulled out “Birth Ritual,” one of the band’s early ’90s haymakers. Grunge nerds may recall that it appeared on the Singles soundtrack in 1992 – a movie in which the band briefly appeared in.

According to the fan who published this video, this is the first time Soundgarden has played “Birth Ritual” live since 1992. Of course, this is terribly tough to prove unless Chris Cornell were to call us up and confirm such a theory.

No less, this is a Soundgarden gem and we’re happy to see it come to life again. You can watch the performance right here:
