Against Me! to Embark on North American Summer Tour
Against Me! may have released its latest critically-acclaimed album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, 
almost a year-and-a-half ago, but that hasn’t stopped the Florida rockers from roaming city to city.
Against Me! will venture off on a North American summer tour beginning on June 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina, before closing it out on July 19 in Seattle, Washington. Canadian tour stops include Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.
Joining Against Me! on the bill will be Frank Iero and The Cellabration (ex-My Chemical Romance), plus Annie Girl & the Flight.
“We seem to have a fan base that is fairly open-minded – more so than that a pop band, where people are less invested. People who generally listen to our band seem to have an open mind and are open to alternative views of anything,” explained Against Me! guitarist James Bowman in a 2014 interview with Riffyou.com when asked if he felt that some listeners may find Transgender Dysphoria Blues’ subject matter too tough to handle. “So, at least we had that. But in general, people are going to think what they want to think.”
