Tickets On Sale for Fucked Up & The Dirty Nil at Burly Calling
The Saturday evening of Burly Calling VIII is already shaping up to be a memorable one, with the news that Fucked Up will headline a showcase at Boston Manor alongside The Dirty Nil, Dead Tired, Junior Rattles, Rules, Sensei, and Dead Broke.
Tickets for the December 6 show are available now through Ticketscene.ca for a very reasonable $22. Doors are at 7pm, while the action gets underway at 8pm.
This annual independent music festival – which runs through a number of small venues within Burlington, ON, from December 4-8 – also features the likes of Teenage Head, Say Yes, The Penske File, The Video Dead, Bring Me the Author, along with many more acts to be announced.
“With the first wave of artist announcements, we wanted to show the caliber of headliners we have been working hard to bring to our little festival, as well as our commitment to the local music community…without giving away our biggest announcements,” says Burly Calling Co-Founder, Benjamin Rispin. “We also plan to celebrate the last 30+ years of independent music in our area by building showcases that celebrate veterans and newcomers alike.”
In June, Fucked Up released their highly-anticipated new album Glass Boys through Arts & Crafts, while The Dirty Nil issued the Cinnamon b/w Guided by Vices 7” via Fat Wreck Chords in August (read their interview about it here.) Dead Tired is a new project led by ex-Alexisonfire frontman George Pettit.
