Longstanding pop-punkers New Found Glory will be releasing their eighth studio album, Resurrection, on October 7 through Hopeless new-found-glory-2014-2-smallRecords. To get folks excited, the band has released a video for the first single, “Selfless.” You can watch that below.

“This is the most prepared we’ve ever been,” says lead guitarist and backing vocalist Chad Gilbert of the album. “Writing as a band now has never felt so easy. We really came together with ideas. We’ve gone through a lot and figured a lot of things out. This album has been very cathartic for us.”

Adds frontman Jordan Pundik: “We’ve always been a band that has written about life experiences from a deeply personal place. Some of it fictitious and some of it not fictional, but it’s all been stuff we’ve dealt with in our lives.”

After New Found Glory takes the stage at all three Riot Fest dates in September (click here to win tickets!), the band will headline the fifth annual Glamour Kills Tour with We Are the In Crowd and Fireworks. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 8.

Anxious fans can pre-order Resurrection now, and take advantage of bundle options that include the CD, vinyl, a poster, t-shirt, and even a pre-sale general admission ticket and VIP sound check access for the Glamour Kills Tour.

“The goal for the new record was to make it sound really authentic and natural and not filled in,” concludes Gilbert. “It was trying to make the biggest sounding record stripped down as four people.”
