Lieutenant, the side project of Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel, has announced an initial batch of North Lieutenant_Press_PhotoCredit_MichaelElinsAmerican tour dates.

Mendel – along with Lieutenant bandmates Christian Wargo (Fleet Foxes) Paul ‘Pablo’ Wilson (Snow Patrol), Jorma Vik (The Bronx, Mariachi El Bronx), and Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Helmet) – will be touring in support of If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week (out March 10 through Dine Alone Records), a nine-song album recorded at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606.

“The music draws listeners in with sincere lyrics and keeps them moving with echoed, jangly guitars as heard on standout tracks like ‘Rattled,’ ‘Prepared Remarks’ and ‘Belle Epoque,’” reads a description of the album.

Mendel’s prize horse, Foo Fighters, will be widely touring the world this year on the back of Sonic Highways and the band’s 20th anniversary.
